Anthony Joshua will face the American YouTuber in an eight-round match which will be streamed live on Netflix.
Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "overpower" the American as the two fighters confronted each other to publicize next month's boxing match.
Former two-time unified boxing king Anthony Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge mismatch - at Miami's Kaseya Center on 19 December.
Fighter's Mindset
"I will break his face and break his body up. My goal is to show my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, declared.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I intend to genuinely try to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."
Civil Interaction
Despite such comments, a composed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - normally recognized for his theatrics - shared friendly words and remained civil with each other.
Jake Paul instead targeted ex Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and called him "a joke" after the Cameroonian rejected a match opportunity.
Targeting Fury
Anthony Joshua, at the same time, took aim at British opponent Fury - and rejected a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a victory for Paul.
"Jake Paul is superior to Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer commented.
"I give him credit for that."
Legitimate Opponent
Despite declaring he will damage his opponent, Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his rival's pugilistic talent.
"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he said.
Paul's History
Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mainly fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.
He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.
Financial Success
Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter is still one of boxing's biggest financial successes, frequently receiving massive paydays.
Forecast and Belief
The 28 year old predicted a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would stop the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly under discussion for two years from now.
"It's going to be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul said.
Size Disparity
As the two fighters engaged in the usual face-off, with their height and weight contrast on show, it drove home just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the match is truly going ahead.
